Two killed in Durban taxi crash

Two men have been killed after a taxi smashed through a wall and overturned on Umgeni Road in Durban this morning.
The vehicle then came to a stop on the railway line near the Connaught Bridge over the Umgeni river.
Emergency services say the vehicle had been heading towards the city when it crashed.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says paramedics treated a number of patients at the scene.
He says the two men who lost their lives were thrown from the taxi.
"All of the injured had been travelling in the taxi," he said.

"Unfortunately their injuries were too severe and they were declared deceased on the scene," he said.

"All of the injured had been travelling in the taxi," he said.
The driver was treated for minor injuries and was questioned by police on scene.

"It is badly damaged. Most of the passengers were ejected while the vehicle rolled."
