TVET College lecturers suspended for homophoboc slurs

The two lecturers accused of discriminating against a gay student at an Umlazi College - have been suspended.
Second-year student, Bheka Khanyile, says one lecturer made homophobic comments towards him - while another apparently refused to teach him.
The principal of the Coastal College, Sibhanana Ndlovu, convened a media briefing this afternoon.

Ndlovu says the two educators have been suspended for 30 days - pending further investigations into the matter.
The lecturers have been given seven days to presenttheir side of the story.
