Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Two lecturers are being investigated for allegedly making homophobic comments to a student at the Coastal KZN TVET College, in Umlazi's BB Section.
21-year-old Bheka Khanyile says the lecturers passed inappropriate comments and said they would no longer teach him - based on his sexuality.

Khanyile, a second year office administration student, says he was humiliated in front of fellow classmates and other members of staff - after wearing makeup and a weave to campus.
"She started mocking me about my hair, my makeup, the way I carry myself. She said what private parts do I have: female or male, and do I know how to use it? One teacher came and said I refuse to teach you because now you're exaggerating," he said.

The college's Sinegugu Zuma says Khanyile will be provided with counselling, while they investigate the incident.
"The counselling sessions will start on Monday. And we are going to be having hearings next week so we can find both sides. After it has been concluded, the educatprs in question will be disciplined," she said.
