Truck driver killed in Pinetown crash

There's been another truck crash where the driver died on the Hans Dettman Highway over the M7 in Pinetown.
Paramedics rushed to the scene where they found the truck to have lost control and jack-knifed.
Redline Response spokesperson Derrick Banks says the driver, believed to be in his 50s, was trapped in the vehicle.

"Somehow, the containers that was on the back of the truck shifted, allegedly and crushed the cabin of the truck as well. Unfortunately, when Redline Response paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle partially blocking Hans Dettman.
"The driver of the truck was entrapped. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, the driver lost his life and was declared deceased on the scene. There was nothing more paramedics could do for him."

He says traffic was severely affected and has warned it could get worse around peak time.
