WATCH : Another horrific truck crash on KZN road

Another chaotic scene has unfolded on a KwaZulu-Natal road, this time between Ulundi and Vryheid on the R34 - R66 route.
Six vehicles, including four trucks, were involved in a horrific crash on Monday morning.
"Two people sustained serious injuries, including one of our officers at Ulundi station, because there was a primary accident and thereafter there was secondary accident involving six vehicles, a bakkie, SUV and four trucks. Four of the vehicles caught alight,” says Zinhle Mngomezulu from the Road Traffic Inspectorate.

Mngomezulu says the accident has closed the road in the northern KZN area with no alternative routes available.
A video of the crash - shows bystanders and local authorities standing by the first two-truck collision. Moments later the bystanders and officers are seen running away in a frenzy seconds before a truck burst through the accident scene.
The secondary crash saw four vehicles burst into flames.
The crash came at the same time as a community protest further down the road.

Mngomezulu says the community was protesting against trucks travelling on the R34.
"This was a bit far away from the scene of the accident, it was an area called eMakhosini.”
Local authorities were on scene guiding traffic.
