Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Eskom has ramped up load shedding to stage 6 until further notice.
The electricity provider says this is due to the breakdown of more generation units, and a delay in returning several units to service.

The utility's interim spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says they are working around the clock to get these units working again.
"A generating unit each at Duvha, Lethabo and Medupi power stations has returned to service.
"Over the past 24 hours a generation unit each at Majuba, Medupi and Tutuka power stations was taken out of service due to breakdowns.

"Furthermore, the delay in returning units to service at Arnot, Camden, Hendrina, Majuba, Matla and Tutuka power stations continues to add to the current capacity constraints. The team is working around the clock to ensure that generating units are returned to service as soon as possible."
