KZN weather warning pushed to stage 4

The SA Weather Service
has raised the weather warning issued for the extreme south-eastern parts of
KZN to level 4.
Forecasters say disruptive rains are also expected along the coast up to Richards Bay and over the north-western areas.
The wet weather's causing issues on the roads in parts of Durban this morning, with reports that the M25 KwaMashu off-ramp is waterlogged.
Disaster management teams are on high alert at municipalities across KZN.
The Department of Cooperative Governance is calling on residents to be cautious of flooding and infrastructure damage.

The heavy rainfall is expected to affect the following municipalities: Abaqulusi, Danhouser, Edumbe, Emadlangeni, Endumeni, eThekwini Metro, KwaDukuza, Mkhambathini, Ndwedwe, Newcastle, Nquthu, Umdoni, Umzumbe, and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.
The rains may cause flooding and damage to mud houses, roads, low-lying bridges and rivers while other areas may suffer infrastructural damage.
