Social Development angered by criminal threat

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development says it will be meeting with police officers following a recent spate of robberies, seemingly targeting its offices.
According to the department, more than ten cases have been reported between February and August -- and no arrests have been made.

Spokesperson Mhlabunzima Memela says office equipment and documents containing the personal details of people have been snatched by criminals.Memela says they need to get to the bottom of the issue.
"When these instances happen, there is obviously a disturbance in services that our communities have to receive from the offices," he said.
