Slain municipal manager to be laid to rest today

The Richmond Local Municipality manager who was shot and killed on Monday will be laid to rest today.
On Thursday, a memorial service was held for Sibusiso Sithole - whose death sparked yesterday's mass community march.
A service will be held at 9am at the Richmond Primary School - with Sithole being laid to rest later at a cemetery in Illovu.

Speaking during yesterday's march, community leader, Mzi Zuma - who also worked closely with Sithole - has described him as a person who uplifted the municipality through his work.
"He was a great leader with great achievements. Under his leadership, this municipality was able to get two clean audits, in two consecutive years. A level of economic development in this town, could be attributed to his contributions," he said.
A number of political heavyweights are expected to attend today's funeral.
