Senzo Meyiwa trial: Forensic expert 'lacked necessary skills'
A defence advocate in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has told the High Court in Pretoria that she believes the forensic expert lacks the necessary skills to process the crime scene.
Advocate Zandile Mshololo, who represents accused number five, told Sergeant Thabo Mosia he was not qualified to work on the crime scene.
Mosia was the first forensic expert to arrive on the scene on the might Meyiwa was shot.
"You see Mr Mosia you obtained this degree after the day of the incident in this case," she told Mosia during cross-examination on Tuesday.

"By the time you attended the crime scene you had not acquired the skills that you had acquired under this degree."
He answered: "That is correct."
Mosia currently holds a B-Tech from the University of South Africa, specialising in Forensic Investigation.
The degree, which he began studying in 2016, was only completed in 2019.

Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus in 2014.
He also studied various courses with the South African Police Service which saw him qualify as a "criminalist forensic expert".
Mosia will take the stand again on Wednesday when Mshololo will continue with cross-examination.
