Police Minister Bheki Cele says various senior government officials are still being probed by the task team set up to investigate political killings in KwaZulu-Natal.
He says arrests will be made once the right amount of evidence has been gathered.

At a briefing in Durban yesterday, Cele said that since the Inter-Ministerial Committee's appointment last year, 161 arrests have been made."I do not deal with speculation and I do not deal with cases that are not finalised. If there are investigations then I will know when they are finalised. I do not do investigations."
Earlier this week, charges were provisionally withdrawn against Harry Gwala mayor Mluleki Ndobe in connection with the murder of former ANC Youth League secretary general Sindiso Magaqa.
Authorities said they did not have enough evidence at this stage.
