Search continues for Hambanathi pastor killer

Tongaat police have launched an investigation into the murder of a man who was gunned in Hambanathi on Monday night.

It's alleged that the 41-year-old pastor was at a mission home adjacent to a church when he was shot in the head.

Paramedics found the man in a critical condition but soon succumbed to his injuries.
KZN SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the motive for the shooting is unknown.
"The victim was shot twice to the head and he was noticed by a passer-by who heard the gunshot and saw an unknown suspect leaving the premises.
"When she proceeded to the house, that's when she noticed a 41-year-old laying in a pool of blood between the car and the veranda. It is suspected that he was opening the burglar gate when he was attached," says Mbele.
