A man, believed to be a pastor, has been gunned down at a home in Hambanathi near Tongaat, north of Durban.

Paramedics say when they arrived on the scene on Monday night, they found the man in a critical condition at a home adjacent to a church in the area.
Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst says when they assessed the man, who's believed to be in his 50s, they found that he sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
"A full advanced life support resuscitation was initiated. However, the patient's condition rapidly deteriorated and was sadly succumbed to his injuries. SAPS were on scene and will investigate the matter further," he says.
