SA journalist kidnapped in Syria
South African photojournalist Shiraaz Mohamed has been kidnapped in Syria.
Humanitarian aid organization, Gift of the Givers, says Mohamed was kidnapped four days ago - while on his way to the Turkish border.
His kidnappers told Gift of the Givers staff that they wanted to clear up a misunderstanding with Mohamed, and that he would be released in two days' time.
He has not been seen since, and his whereabouts are unknown.
When contacted, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation said it was not aware of Mohamed's kidnapping.
