KZN primary school teacher sentenced for sexual assault

The 22-year-old school teacher from the KwaZulu-Natal north coast who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting eight boys has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment by the Richards Bay Magistrate's Court.

The computer teacher was found to have touched boys inappropriately in class.

He was arrested last year after a pupil told another staff member about the assault.The man was sentenced earlier this week.
Two years were suspended on condition that he is not convicted of sexual assault during that period.
The primary school teacher, not named to protect the identities of the victims, pleaded guilty to eight charges in May this year.
