Pupils and parents have been protesting at Grosvenor Girls High School while a hearing takes place.

The male teacher is accused of inappropriately touching the pupils - among other allegations.

KwaZulu-Natal Education officials say they intervened on Friday following protests outside the school.

One school girl has told Newswatch that all they want is be safe at school.

This parent says she and other parents won't take these allegations lightly.

"It really makes me mad - that we leave our children here expecting them to be in a safe haven and we now have to sit at home and worry about our children being sexually harassed or dealt with inappropriately. It's upsetting and a lot of the parents here will not give in [easily]," the parent said.
