Health Minister Zweli Mkhize says there've been no reports - at this stage - of anyone experiencing extreme side effects after taking the jab.
Mkhize launched KZN's Phase Two rollout programme - which targets the elderly - at the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday.
He says if people experience side effects - they need to know.
"If you find that there are any symptoms you are not happy with, come back and report.
"All of those who are vaccinated will actually have a cover of what we call a "No-fault compensation fund", which will take care of any adverse effect should there be a need for anyone to be compensated.

"But we shouldn't fearsome of the symptoms that have been raised, they're rare and far between but its also its important for us to know what to anticipate so that you can get assistance before any of those symptoms could become anything that could cause any challenge in your life."
