KZN's elderly turn out for start of Phase 2 vaccinations
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The elderly, people with comorbidities and healthcare workers are lining up at the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg to receive their Covid-19 vaccines.

The Showgrounds, the Pinetown Civic Centre and King Zwelithini Stadium have been identified as mass vaccination sites in KwaZulu-Natal.
We entered the second phase of our vaccine rollout programme.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize is in Pietermaritzburg for the official launch in KwaZulu-Natal.
He's said they want to inoculate 5 million senior citizens by the end of next month.
Jay Govender from PMB is sitting in the queue at the Showgrounds.
The 63-year-old says it's been a smooth and simple process so far.
"I really want people to know how well this place is run and how well everything is organised> Hats off to the people that are in charge. I was on the bench, I was in-between 'Shall I wait? Shan't I wait? Today I got up and said 'I am going'"
Irene Hoare, who turns 95 next week, is also getting ready to roll up her sleeves.
"I was looking forward to it actually. I am not nervous or anything like that. I've been watching TV and they seem it give it very well. I think people should have it."
Cheryl tells us she’s excited to receive the #PfizerVaccine today. Even though she knows that she still has to keep her guard up after receiving the vaccine, she says she will be relieved that she is about to receive the vaccine today @ECR_Newswatch #VaccineRolloutSA pic.twitter.com/q62r8EuQ0m
