Refuse workers strike unexpectedly resumes
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Durban Metro Police continue to keep a close watch on a DSW workers strike in the CBD.

Workers have taken to the streets again, demanding full-time employment.
This, despite eThekwini saying it had reached an agreement with workers to resume their duties.

The municipality said in a statement yesterday that workers had agreed to return to their posts after downing tools on Friday. It said negotiations were ongoing.
"The Metro Police is on scene with officers being deployed to strategic locations within and near the city. The workers are being addressed and we we will continue to monitor the situation until it stabilises," Durban Metro's Parbhoo Sewpersadh says.
