Ramaphosa addresses state capture at World Economic Forum
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
President Cyril Ramaphosa says commissions like the State Capture Inquiry were established to uncover corruption and separate the truth from the lies.
He says these hearings can be a painful process for all those involved and has stressed that those found to have flouted rules or laws should be held accountable.
Ramaphosa's been speaking to the SABC on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
He touched on the inquiry after Angelo Agrizzi mentioned former President, Jacob Zuma's name again.
The former BOSASA COO first said that the company was given numerous catering tenders, which included designing and making a cake for Zuma's 72nd birthday.

Agrizzi testified that he received monthly kickbacks of R300 000 for BOSASA to evade legal prosecution.
During yesterday's testimony, Agrizzi said shortly after the NPA's Nomgcobo Jiba was suspended, an urgent meeting was held between BOSASA boss Gavin Watson, then correctional services commissioner Richmond Mti and Agrizzi - where Watson discussed how he would tell Zuma - to intervene so that the company would not be prosecuted.
"He made a proposal on how it should be handled and he was going to go see the president soon.
"He sat down and said to him - let me explain to you what I'm going to do and I'll tell you how to handle it going forward. His words were - 'We'll tell the president what to do and how to sort these things out.' He had that type of relationship with the president where he could tell the president what to do," Agrizzi said.
