DA reacts to State Capture Inquiry revelations
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The DA says Angelo Agrizzi's testimony at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture shows theamount of corruption the ANC has allowed.
"The ANC is the same bus just with a different bus driver," The DA's Natasha Mazzone said.
The former BOSASA COO implicated Environmental Affairs Minister, Nomvula Mokonyane yesterday.
"The ANC has been complicit in corruption. What you have to notice is the players and modus operandi - are the same people and the same way they do business. Those very same people still sit in government today and enjoy government contracts," Mazzone said.
But the ANC's Zizi Kodwa says it's still early days to draw conclusions on witness testimonies which have not been challenged.
He's reiterated that ANC officials who have been implicated acted in their personal capacity and should defend themselves before the commission.
"We continue to make a call - even to those who are implicated, be it ministers or leaders of the ANC, either come before this Commission to either to corroborate or deny the allegations. The fact that names have been dropped, it doesn't mean they did what they've done on behalf of the ANC," Kodwa said.
