KZN Correctional Services boss placed on 'precautionary suspension'
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
KwaZulu-Natal Correctional Services Commissioner, Mnikelwa Nxele, has been placed on precautionary suspension.
This after former Bosasa COO, Angelo Agrizzi on Tuesday told the state capture inquiry that Nxele had accepted bribes - to the value of around R57 500 a month - from the controversial service provider.
But spokesperson for the Department of Correctional Services, Logan Maistry says Nxele's suspension has been in the pipeline for several weeks and is the culmination of a process that started in early January this year.
