Provision of temporary housing in flood-hit KZN areas 'on track'

Human Settlements in KwaZulu-Natal says work is continuing to provide housing to people in rural communities left destitute by the April floods.
The department says it's built almost 800 temporary housing units so far.

Spokesperson Ndabezihle Sibiya says they'll brief the media on Friday on the contractor hired to build 300 homes at a cost of R40 million in eDumbe's ward 5, in northern KZN.
He says service delivery efforts are on track.

"People that are living in rural areas must not be forgotten. The housing project that will be starting, we are expecting about 300 housing units that will assist in terms of ensuring decent human settlements."
