The Stanmore Secondary School in Phoenix is still investigating the shooting incident last week that left a pupil seriously hurt.
The school's governing body yesterday interviewed pupils who witnessed the incident.
Cameron Ganesh was shot in the shoulder on Friday.
He has told Newswatch he had been talking to friends when the gun was fired.
The bullet struck his back inflicting significant damage to his shoulder.
Police say a 14-year-old suspect appeared in the Verulam Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Chairperson of the governing body Josephine Naicker says the matter is under investigation.
"Currently we are investigating. We're taking statements from learners just to get to the bottom of exactly what happened,'' she said.
