Phoenix schoolboy shot in Russian roulette game
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
A Grade 9 learner is recovering in hospital after being shot by another at a Phoenix high school earlier today.

It is believed the Stanmore Secondary School schoolboys were playing a game of Russian roulette when a shot was fired in full view of other learners.
School Governing Body Chairperson Josephine Naicker has confirmed the incident to Newswatch.
"The last time we checked he was stabilised, let's put it that way. At school, we've done a crisis counselling for all the learners within his class and a brief one for the whole school at the hall," she said.
The high school was in the news earlier this year when a video of an alleged incident of bullying by boys at the school went viral on social media.
The pupil is recovering at the Mount Edgecombe Hospital in Durban.
