Probe into #Durbanfire to begin once fire is out: Officials
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Investigations into what exactly sparked the fire that ravaged through a warehouse in Rossburgh will begin once the blaze has been put out.

More than 100 firefighters took on the blaze after being called out yesterday morning. Burning throughout the night, paramedics say there were no injuries reported overnight.
Pietermaritzburg-based relief organisation, Gift of the Givers brought in food and drinks for the firefighting team.

Yesterday, wax products and wooden pallets were seen burning in the forecourt. Despite the rain yesterday evening, there was no visible relief to the firefighting efforts that had continued throughout the day.
Officials have also confirmed there are highly flammable and explosive chemicals and fertilisers in a section that has not burned.

EThekwini's Chief Fire Commander, Enoch Mchunu, says their main focus is to get the fire out.
"For now we are not thinking about the investigation but focusing on controlling the fire and making sure that it's completely out. This will be done once the site is safe," he said.
