Private KZN medics protest over Covid-19 jab rollout

Paramedics from a number of private ambulance services have taken to the streets in Pietermaritzburg.
They say they're are being left in the dark about the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and feel government is sidelining them.

President of the KZN Private Ambulances Association, Andile Nduli, says about 36 ambulances embarked on the protest on Monday.
He says they have also been joined by colleagues from Gauteng.

"The main problem is that so far we have not yet been vaccinated as private ambulances owners. We are in the dark about this. There is an EMS regulation which is regulating all private ambulances.
“We need to be regulated but we need to be included in structures so we feel like we are not being included."
Nduli says a memorandum will be handed over.
