KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Willies Mchunu has met with stakeholders in Port Shepstone to try and resolve the ongoing water crisis on the south coast.
He told residents and businesspeople who gathered in the Ugu District yesterday that he would also speak with disgruntled workers and municipal officials to try and ensure the water supply to affected areas is restored as soon as possible.

UGU claims the cuts are the result of an illegal strike, but workers say they are not behind the sabotage that saw some taps run dry more than a week ago.
This councillor walked out of yesterday's meeting, claiming councillors were not allowed to speak on behalf of those who were unable to attend.
