The elderly man accused of killing his partner and her two-year-old child has abandoned his bid for bail.

Thirty-four-year-old Ntombifuthi Blose and her daughter, Swelihle were stabbed at a home in Mount Royal, Phoenix earlier this month.
Thembinkosi Ngcobo appeared briefly in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Ngcobo' legal aid attorney, Lewhan Reddy told the court the 62-year-old wouldn't be applying for bail at this stage.
State Prosecutor, Sabelo Ziqubu then told the court several things were still outstanding in the investigation.
These include the post mortem results, DNA test results of the blood found on the knife and clothing, photos from the scene and cellphone records of the accused.
