Phoenix CPF urges community to report crime
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Phoenix, north of Durban, has encouraged community members to share information about wrongdoing in their area saying this will help authorities make swift arrests.

On Friday, a suspected drug dealer and his wife were arrested at a property on Wareham Place and seized guns, ammunition, phones, video recorders and heroin capsules from a total of three suspects.

The forum's Umesh Singh says Phoenix has its issues like other communities, but with teamwork from residents - they claim back their area.
"The community plays a very vital role in crime-fighting with them constantly passing on information about drugs and drug-related incidents. With specific details, it all helps, and it gives us direction to work on," he said.
