Phoenix community rattled by double murder
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Mount Royal residents rattled by a double murder in the Phoenix community are hoping the killer goes behind bars for life.

A bush knife was used in the attack against a woman and her two-year-old daughter in their home on Wednesday.
Her 62-year-old partner's been arrested.
A resident said: "The child doesn't have a future any more so he might as well not have one of his own. He must spend the rest of his life in prison."

eThekwini ward councillor, Pete Graham says fear has gripped residents of Mount Royal.
"It's so sad. The people didn't actually even believe it had happened because even when I was contacted at first, I thought people were confused with the double we had days ago.
"It's like how can this be possible and have another double murder within kilometres of each other. It was complete shock it happened."
