Thousands of supporters from various opposition parties including the EFF, DA, IFP and Cope - marched to the seat of government, the Union Buildings, in the Capital.

The UDM's Bantu Holomisa said Zuma clearly thinks he is beyond reproach.

"One disappointed South African said - the deputy president is wrong, the ANC's security general is wrong, the treasurer general is wrong, the SACP, Cosatu, rating agencies, Concourt and the public protector were all wrong. So, it's only Zuma who is right according to that," he said.

The EFF's Julius Malema said South Africa cannot be defeated by what he called an 'illiterate president'.

"This is a rolling mass action and we are coming to the Free State, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West, Limpopo. We are going to all big cities in South Africa because everyone in South Africa is tired of Makhandakhanda," he said.

Meanwhile, President Zuma hit back during his 75th birthday celebrations held in Soweto on Wednesday afternoon, saying he is doing well and "has no strees."

He accused the parties of an inability to debate and tackle issues cordially.

"Don't be scared of them when you see them marching saying Zuma must go, but what has Zuma done," he said.

Zuma also said the late former president, Nelson Mandela, once called the opposition Mickey Mouse parties because they attack the ANC.
