There are reports 120 000 marchers are taking part in today's National Day of Action in Pretoria.
Addressing the crowd, UDM leader Bantu Holomisa said South Africans should be proud of the display of patriotism shown during the Day of National Action.
Holomisa says their chief concern is the waning economy - placing the blame at the Zuma's feet.
"One disappointed South African said - the deputy president is wrong, the ANC's security general is wrong, the treasurer general is wrong, the SACP, Cosatu, rating agencies, Concourt and the public protector were all wrong. So, it's only Zuma who is right according to that," he said.
The IFP's Mkhuleko Hlengwa says South Africans should blame only one person when the weakening economy hits them in their pockets.
"When the cost of bread goes up months later - remember who is responsible. Our families cannot make ends meet and the Rand keeps losing value. Let us not forget who did this to us. Comrades, nobody can deprive the president of his achievements as one of our freedom fighters but he has proven again and again - he is not here to serve South Africa, he is a failed liberation fighter and he needs to go," he said.
While giving the keynote address during the commemoration of the 24th anniversary of Chris Hani's death, Zuma said marches that took place last week Friday were fuelled by racism.
But the DA's Phumzile Van Damme told marchers yesterday that Zuma labelling them racists wouldn't stop them.
"They told us we were racist, they told us we don't understand - they tried to divide us but they failed. Looking out today, I see South Africans of all races - I see black South Africans, I see white South Africans, I see Indian South Africans, I see coloured South Africans, I see red South Africans, I see blue South Africans, I see South Africans of every party," she said to cheers.
ACDP Deputy President Wayne Thring said the occasion was history in the making.
"When the people of South Africa come together in a fashion such as this, nothing shall be impossible for us to do. And at these Union Buildings today, let this day be marked as the beginning of the fall of the president, Mr Jacob Zuma, Thring said.
When EFF leader took to the stage, he told marchers that their conduct throughout the march was proof that petty politics are not on their agenda.
"When the state of South Africa is threatened, we put aside our differences - we unite for the purpose of winning back our beautiful country. We must salute these leaders [opposition leaders], because when we are united we will never be defeated by an illiterate president," Malema said.
Malema said they were there to safeguard the future.
"We don't care if you are white, whether you are Indian, whether you are black - we are here to defend the future of our children," he said.
Malema also explained to the marchers why they didn't bring a memorandum of demands to the Union Buildings.
Save South Africa's Sipho Pityana also joined today's march - says the movement demanding President Zuma's resignation, will not be pushed away and fold in the face of threats.
"Those who are against what we stand for must object peacefully but they must not threaten us and think we are going to be wished away, we are not. Many more numbers will be out there in the streets when the vote of no confidence is being moved in Parliament. Viva South Africa, viva!," he said.
