No injuries in Durban flat fire

Firefighters have extinguished the blaze at a block of flats in central Durban.

eThekwini Fire's Melvin Ramlall says they were called to the building on Dr Langalibalele Dube Street (formerly Winder Street), earlier this morning.

Emergency crews managed to contain the flames within minutes.The fire was confined to a bedroom in the flat.
No one was hurt.

"It is suspected that the fire started through electrical causes," said Ramlall.He says firefighters contained and extinguished the flames within 10 minutes.
