New I/O may be assigned in Bianca Parsons case after heart attack scare
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The bail hearing of one of the accused in the Bianca Parsons murder case has been postponed by a week.
The Durban Magistrate's Court today heard that investigating officer, Erugubathi Naidoo is due to undergo surgery after falling ill while testifying during Christopher Housten's bail application yesterday.
Housten and Darryl Murrisson are believed to be behind the murder 32-year-old Parsons of Wentworth.
Parsons was shot dead at a petrol station last month in front of her three-year-old-daughter.
The court heard how Naidoo suffered a heart attack while testifying - and that he's expected to be operated on tomorrow.
The case has been postponed to give Naidoo time to recover or for a new investigating officer to be assigned.

The new investigating officer would then need to take the stand in Christopher Housten's bail application next week.
Before indicating to the magistrate that he wasn't feeling well - Naidoo had told the court how the accused allegedly killed Parsons in a case of mistaken identify.
Murrison - who is accused number one - has indicated he intends pleading guilty to the charges.
