NASGB wants Education to comply with health standards
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The National School Governing Body Association (NASGB) says it refuses to send children back to schools – that aren't ready for them.
Grade 12 and 7 learners were supposed to return to the classroom today – but that's been postponed to next Monday, 8 June.
Some schools say they aren't properly equipped yet – with COVID-19 safety and control measures.

The board's Matekanye Matakanye says it would be irresponsible to allow children back onto school premises right now.
"We really want our children to go back to school, but we really do not want to send our children back to school to die.
"We want the school to comply with health standards. Once the health standard is certified then yes, our children can go back and even our teachers."
