N3 near Howick closed after fatal crash involving two trucks

Two people have died in a crash involving two trucks on the N3 southbound, near Howick in the KZN Midlands on Friday morning.

KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says the vehicles caught alight after the crash.

"Tragically two people have sustained fatal injuries in this collision. The trucks caught alight after the fire."
"The fire has since been extinguished. However, the road is still completely blocked, and traffic is diverted on R103," he said.

Mckenzie says the circumstances leading up to the crash are not known at this stage.
