Durban police investigate killing of elderly man shot in car

There has been another shooting in the south of Durban this time in Isipingo.
Police say an elderly man died after being shot near the corner of Watson and Police Station Roads on Thursday.

Spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the 61-year-old man lost control of his car and crashed into a wall.
She says his killers fled in a getaway vehicle.
"The motive is unknown at this stage, it is subject to investigation, and a murder case has been opened at the Isipingo police station," she said.

This morning, two men were shot dead in an apparent drive-by shooting in Umbilo, while two young children and a taxi driver were killed in another drive-by shooting in Inchanga last night. Seven other people were wounded.
