Buthelezi is facing a raft of charges including murder, three counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances and attempted aggravated robbery.

The court has today heard that he had abandoned bail. It has also heard that another charge - of attempted murder that Buthelezi is appearing in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court tomorrow on - will likely be withdrawn from the court's roll and added to his charge sheet in Durban at his next appearance.
