Msinga pupils in hiding will write exams, says Education MEC
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Pupils at one of the four high schools in Msinga, northern KZN who have not been able to write their final matric exams say they fear for their lives.
They claim eight people have been killed in the past two weeks although police have not confirmed this number.
The Community Safety Department says however it's only aware of three fatalities.
It's believed the seven boys in matric are from the feuding families.
A community member, who asked to remain anonymous, said the two families live next door to each other - close to the KwaZenzele High School in northern KZN.

Education MEC Mthandeni Dlungwane says security will be provided to pupils who are prepared to come out of hiding and write their exams.
"We then appointed a team that is going to work closely with the parents themselves. What we want to do is to ensure that we take these learners that have been taken to hiding - and arrange schools that are safe so that we can assist them," he said.
