More Durban beaches reopen

A few more beaches in Durban have been reopened for water activities.

eThekwini Municipality says the water quality has improved at Laguna Beach, Country Club Beach, Battery Beach, South Beach, eThekwini Beach, Addington Beach, and Point Beach.
Spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela says 13 other beaches remain closed.

"The following beaches remain closed until further notice: Westbrook, Bronze, Umhlanga, Umdloti, Isipingo, Reunion, Pipeline, Toti Main, Warner, Baggies, Winklespruit, Garvies and Ansteys beaches.
"The municipality is continuously monitoring the water quality at all beaches to ensure the safety of residents and visitors."
