'More convictions needed in Richmond murder cases'

There's growing concern over the crime situation in the Richmond community, in the KZN Midlands - according to a community leader.

The Richmond community in the KZN Midlands has bemoaned the murder of municipality manager, Edward Sithole.
Edward Sibusiso Sithole was shot and killed metres away from a police station, in the Midlands.

Representing the community, Mzi Zuma met with the police's top brass this week. He says police at the local municipality continue to come under fire for the low conviction rate in murder cases.
"We feel these are not prioritised in terms of investigations where no convictions have been secured. That is a serious concern - what crime could be more serious than murder?," he said.
