Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Matric trial exams began this week, but there have already been issues at some schools in KwaZulu-Natal.

In Reservoir Hills in Durban, one high school had to close and postpone exams because of volatile service delivery protests.
On Tuesday morning about 200 demonstrators blocked the M19 with burning debris.
The Department of Education's Kwazi Mthethwa says such actions should not get in the way of a children's futures.

"We will not allow any person to disrupt our exams as we have done in the previous years. We value our exams very highly, we will safeguard it working with law enforcement agencies."
On Monday, two high schools in Msunduzi had their services were disconnected by the municipality.
Raisethorpe Secondary School is said to owe the City R2 million and Dunveria Secondary owes R1.6 Million.
Mthethwa says they do pay schools' bills but that it remains a challenge.
"There are a lot of question marks in terms of how municipalities bill our schools. That discussion has now been elevated to the leadership of various municipalities and the office of the Department of Education."
