Manhunt for Ladysmith murder suspects as man found dead

Ladysmith police are on the hunt for more suspects linked to the murder of a man who they had suspected of being a thief.
The 58-year-old was beaten to death by a group of young men, who found him wandering around on their Steadville property.
Police say the suspects also thought the victim was involved in witchcraft.

The man, who had suffered multiple head injuries, was discovered by a passer-by on Saturday night.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s KZN spokesperson Natasha Kara says police arrested a 23-year-old suspect a day later.
"The accused appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court. He faces one count of murder. The matter was postponed for the 14th of June for bail application."
