Zikalala says the killing is one of the most gruesome acts of gender-based violence committed in the province recently.
Spokesperson for the Office of the Premier, Lennox Mabaso said: "From the reports that we have received so far the lifeless body was discovered outside her home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"Premier Zikalala is calling all members of society to stand up and rise up against this surge and for community members to come forward with information that can assist police to apprehend the perpetrators."
