Man in critical condition after Mariannhill shooting attack

A man's in a critical condition after he was shot in Mariannhill in Durban on Tuesday morning.
The man believed to be in his thirties was making a delivery on the Old Richmond Road.
He was shot in the chest after he was accosted by unknown gunmen just after 11 am.
Garrith Jamieson, who's with KZN VIP Paramedics say the man's being airlifted to hospital.

"He was approached and shot at by unknown suspects. The male has sustained critical gunshot wounds to his upper chest and was rushed through to a nearby clinic.
"Due to the nature of the injuries sustained a Netcare 911 helicopter was called to rapidly transport the critically injured patient through to the hospital for the urgent care that he required. At this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown."
In a separate incident this morning, a driver transporting children to school was shot and killed in Chesterville.
One pupil was injured.
