#Loadshedding behind south coast water woes

The Ugu District Municipality says loadshedding is affecting its ability to fully restore water in some areas on the south coast.

Some Ramsgate residents say they are fed up after not having water for 10 days.
This affected supply to areas like Ramsgate, Margate and Uvongo.
In a statement issued to Newswatch, Ugu spokesperson, France Zama says the municipality had initially planned a shutdown of the Southern Main Bulk Pipeline for routine maintenance.

Zama says the system has been unable to recover due to power outages.
