LISTEN: Weather and large swells put the brakes on sardine run, for now

It has been a quiet day on the sardine front today. The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board says no real activity has been reported so far.
The board's Mike Anderson-Reade says this could be a result of the weather conditions and larger swells.

Anderson-Reade says there have been some shark sightings off the Warner Beach area, near Amanzimtoti.

Significant netting took place at Scottburgh yesterday.
Anderson-Reade said previously the sardines could make their way to Durban by the weekend.
