LISTEN: Shark nets removed from Bluff beaches as sardines approach Durban
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board says shark safety gear will be removed from the water at Ansteys and Brighton Beach on the Bluff, south of Durban today.

The sharks board has already removed all the nets between Isipingo and Port Edward - the southern most point on the KwaZulu-Natal coast.
The board's Mike Anderson-Reade says the 2018 sardine run has already outshone recent years.
He says there has been a lot of activity at Scottburgh beach today. Shoals are expected to reach the Warner Beach area, near Amanzimtoti this afternoon or tomorrow.
Newswatch's Shaun Ryan chatted to Anderson-Reade just after 11am this morning. Listen to the full update below:
He says there was a sardine frenzy between Park Rynie and Ifafa Beach yesterday. He expects the fish to make it to Durban later this week.
Anderson-Reade says some crates of the fish were being sold for around R1,200 at the weekend but prices should normalise to R600 a crate.Show's Stories
