LISTEN: Sardine frenzy off KZN south coast
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The 2018 sardine run has arrived on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, and authorities are describing it as the busiest they have seen in years.
The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board's Mike Anderson-Reade says the prime spots today are between Park Rynie and Ifafa beach.
Anderson-Reade says hundreds of sharks are following the shoals.
He has told Newswatch the sardine activity on the south coast will hopefully make its way to the Durban beaches in the next day or two.
He says all shark safety gear has now been removed from the water between Isipingo and Port Edward.
